Where Is 1770?

The town of 1770 is approximately 120 km south of Gladstone on Australia's spectacular Central Queensland Discovery Coast. 1770 was named after the year in which English Explorer, Captain James Cook, first landed in Queensland on his first voyage of discovery of Australia. 1770 is often referred to as ‘The Birthplace of Queensland'. The Town of 1770 is nestled in Bustard Bay within an expanse of green vegetation stretching out to beautiful blue waters and some of the most breathtaking coastal views in Australia. You can drive to 1770 from Brisbane via the Pacific Highway, or you can fly into Gladstone or Bundaberg Airports, which are about an hour's drive from the township of 1770.

1770 Bustard Bay Lodge is located near the tip of Bustard Head and offers spectacular ocean views and a very special place to enjoy that wonderful Getaway Weekender or Holiday Vacation. 1770 is one of the best fishing spots on the Queensland Coast, and there is lots to see and do both onshore and offshore. The surrounding area is home to an abundance of natural flora and fauna that remains virtually unscathed by modern development. Beautiful ocean views, fishing, skindiving, snorkelling, romantic sunset wining and dining, guided tours, nature trails, walks to the local lighthouse, or just soaking up the sun in spectacular fashion with breathtaking views.

• 1770 Bustard Bay Lodge is a privately-owned fully self-contained modern 2-story getaway and vacation style rental property in the Queensland coastal holiday Town of 1770.
• The property is located just 700m from the 1770 town centre, nestled on Bustard Head overlooking Bustard Bay.
• The 2-story dwelling has a total area of 440m² and is maintained in top condition.
• It offers spectacular all-round ocean and scenic views as well as beautiful cooling breezes to make your stay both relaxing and rejeuvinating.
• The house contains six double bedrooms with an ensuite and spa off main bedroom.
• All bedrooms have ceiling fans and make optimal use of natural cooling breezes during the warm and hot seasons.
• The three bathrooms/toilets provide ample convenience for upstairs and downstairs guests.
• Two kitchens are provided along with three refridgerators and two microwaves.
• The main kitchen is fitted with modern open style cooking facilities and storage and flows directly on to the main dining and living areas.
• Comfortable lounge seating is provided in all living areas. There are 3 television sets throughout the house.
• Full-length balconies flow around the second level decking, providing ample shaded and safe areas for relaxing, ocean viewing and entertaining.
• Other features include: clean tank water, off-street parking for 4-5 vehicles, fenced yards, a courtyard with seating, and a handy clothes line on ground level.
• The property is a short 150m stroll to the nearest beach. Nature trails are within a stone's throw.

• Whole House: $950pw (Off-peak), $1,450pw (School Holidays), $1,700pw (Easter) and $2,500pw (XMAS).
• Upper Level Only: $700pw (Off-peak).
